At a recent art show I agreed to participate in a project called “voor een visitekaartje op de eerste rij” (for a business card on the front row). Contributions of all the participating artists were to be of the same size and (later) to form a larger artwork together. The details on the project website, specified workspace the size of a business card …. really really small! Now …. what could be made that could be expressive enough to present the scope of this project, and fit inside such a tiny space?
